AltaGas - Project Engineer

Are you ready to take on exciting projects and make a real impact? As a Project Engineer, you’ll work closely with our Project Manager to deliver top-notch engineering solutions. You’ll manage resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure our projects are successful and fit for purpose. Be the go-to person for stakeholders and lead the charge in technical excellence!

You Will:

  • Design and coordinate project scope from start to finish

  • Manage project design within budget and schedule

  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams

  • Develop and manage budgets

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and analyze contractor performance

  • Track and report on project schedules

  • Review and approve technical deliverables

  • Maintain project logs and resolve engineering issues

  • Engage stakeholders on technical aspects

  • Lead technical evaluations for equipment and services

  • Ensure fabrication meets design specs and perform quality inspections

  • Provide on-site construction support and respond to RFIs

  • Support operations during commissioning and project close-out

  • Improve engineering practices by monitoring industry trends

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • P. Eng. or P.L. (Eng) designation (or eligibility)

  • 5+ years of project engineering/management experience

  • Knowledge of regulations and industry standards for Oil and Gas facilities

  • Experience with gas processing facilities, pipelines, and rail terminals

  • Strong technical background in various engineering disciplines

  • Proven track record in greenfield and brownfield projects

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software (P6 Primavera, Microsoft Projects)

  • Knowledge of Oracle JD Edwards (or equivalent) is a plus

  • Ability to travel to field locations
