Business Unit:

Hadrian is a worldwide supplier of quality toilet partition and locker products. Hadrian was the first manufacturer to powder coat toilet partitions and has continued to embrace new technologies and materials in order to offer architects, designers and end-users more flexibility in design. Hadrian’s wide range of toilet partition products includes; powder coated metal, stainless steel, embossed stainless steel, and solid plastic. Lockers are available in Emperor (corridor), Gladiator (athletic) and replacement front styles.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Architectural Sales Representative is responsible for increasing construction specifications for the entire Hadrian product portfolio. Focused on activities to drive brand awareness to increase market share within the NJ/NYC territory.

This role involves identifying and developing relationships with architects, designers, specification writers, and other industry professionals to influence the inclusion of the company's products or services in project specifications. Responsibilities include analyzing market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to create compelling value propositions for the specifier. The Architectural Sales Representative collaborates closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of specification initiatives. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of the industry landscape.

This experienced savvy sales professional will lead day-to-day execution increasing design specifications and supporting the larger project bidding pipeline collaborating/managing through our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to achieve growth of Hadrian’s full line of solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide architectural design expertise to drive market share to architects, designers, contractors, developers and end-users.

  • Collaborate with designers/architects and internal teams to understand project requirements, objectives, and design preferences.

  • Review existing specifications and update product specifications, including materials, finishes, and technical details, in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Work with Marketing to create detailed social media campaigns, samples, renderings, and visually communicate design concepts and solutions.

  • Conduct product research and stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and building codes to provide relevant design recommendations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to ensure design feasibility and seamless project execution.

  • Function as a liaison between clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams to address design-related inquiries, clarifications, and modifications.

  • Attending industry events to present design concepts, specifications, which represent the company's offerings.

  • Become head facilitator of CRM opportunities, task, contacts, and pipeline to ensure sales team is engaging with Architects and Distributors.

  • Introduce and manage new AIA CE program with third party and marketing.

  • Identify and develop performance vs. proprietary specifications as well as work with sales and marketing team members on front-end specifications. (Accepted as equals, voluntary alternates, etc.)

  • Gather feedback and best practices from customers/end-users and external sources, communicate these findings internally and provide solutions to enhance our product portfolio.

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively interact with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Meticulous with a keen eye for aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability in design.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.

  • Familiarity with construction materials, finishes, and building systems would be an asset.

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to propose innovative design solutions.

  • Strong collaboration and people skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to translate construction drawings and takeoffs.

  • Proven experience in design, construction, or related roles within the B2B industry.

  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and industry standards would be an asset.

  • Brand advocate who drives enthusiasm, momentum, and collaboration around a shared vision for the specification for our product portfolio.

  • Detail orientated with excellent organization, communication (Written/Verbal) and people skills.

  • Business development, project management and sales support experience.

  • Ability to travel (US/Canada).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Architecture, or Interior Design, Business, Marketing,

  • 3-5 years of Specification experience in Division 10 or related field would be an asset, ideally in a technical support /construction sales role.

  • Understanding of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and design visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Knowledge of CRM and Construction software (Dodge, Construct Connect).

  • AIA/CSI Membership an asset

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Hadrian Project Center experience an asset.
