MaineGeneral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This role is critical in fostering a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment for children. By using clear, positive, and encouraging words and actions, the Assistant Educator will contribute to the development and care of children in a group setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and comfortable environment for children.

  • Ensure the health and safety of all children by providing constant supervision.

  • Assist in organizing and participating in activities that cater to the physical, intellectual, social, cultural, creative, and emotional needs of children.

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of fingerprinting verification as required by the State of Maine.

  • Annual criminal background check through MaineGeneral Health.

  • Child abuse and neglect background check as mandated.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills and a nurturing personality.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and with diverse groups.

  • Commitment to professional development and learning.
