This remote position is located in the Budget Execution Division (BED) within the Office of Planning and Budget under the Office of Chief Financial Officer. This position serves as a Budget Analyst. Monitors, analyzes and reports on current year spending. Prepares monthly spending estimates. Interprets OMB directives and circulars. Makes recommendations on reprogramming of funds as needed. Performs administrative and analytical duties related to budget execution. Develops cost-benefit analysis of proposed budgetary and program actions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications As indicated above, this detail is open to all current non-probationary, GS-11 and GS-12 Department of Commerce employees with at least a FULLY SUCCESSFUL in the most recent performance rating.To be eligible for this position, the candidate must possess: Desired Qualification Requirements: Applicants with bachelor's or other postsecondary degree are preferred. Buget and/or Finance Background/work experience The applicant must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
