Special Assistant VBP in OHIP

Duties Statement

Under the supervision of the Medicaid Director or designee, the incumbent in this role will primarily be responsible for assisting the Director in the design and implementation of OHIPs value-based payment strategy.

General tasks and responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with OHIP leadership with VBP project objectives by managing VBP project planning, developing project workplans and tracking of deliverables.

• Develop expertise in quality measurement development and risk adjustment as it pertains to value-based payment models.

• Conduct policy, market, and industry research and analysis to support program and policy design.

• Support the coordination of implementation activities and internal operational changes needed to execute the VBP strategy.

• Directs the engagement and education of provider and payer communities around value-based policy and program updates.

• Assist in the development of, content for, and facilitation of internal and external committees and workgroups.

• Draft program materials, education documents, communications, and presentations.

• Facilitate both in-person and webinar discussions on related Medicaid policy topics.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality experts, program management, data analysts, and finance teams to develop thorough policy recommendations.

The successful candidate would ideally possess:

• An understanding of will provide extensive knowledge of Medicaid payment design, Medicaid Managed Care, value-based concepts including global payments, and current public health initiatives.

• Strong analytical and research skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, monitor responsibilities, and achieve goals.

• Ability to work well autonomously and as a member of a highly- collaborative team.

• Ability to present policy and research information to a variety of audiences, including federal, state, and local stakeholders.

• A bachelor’s degree in public administration, political science, public health, public policy, social work, or related fields with 3-7 Years of relevant experience.

Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
