As a Contracts Administrator, Senior you will join our legal team and support our sales operations in India. You will be responsible for all aspects of customer-facing, sales-related contracts and processes, from assisting in managing effective operation of the deal approval process, through review and finalization of a variety of agreements, to managing the storage of completed documentation, for a broad range of Progress products. You will also assist with the continuous development of the contract function and its processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Actively manage the DealDesk, including triaging requests as they are submitted and actioning or assigning to attorneys in the legal department as required, and tracking and reporting on the status of matters.

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of sales-related agreements, such as master services agreements, software license agreements, cloud services agreements, statements of work, order forms, and non-disclosure agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations, in the preparation and execution of contracts.

  • Provide guidance and support to sales teams and other internal stakeholders on contract-related matters, such as contract interpretation, risk assessment, and escalation processes.

  • Assist in the review and response to questionnaires, RFPs and RFQs.

  • Maintain and update contract templates, playbooks, and other tools and resources to facilitate contract management and standardization.

  • Manage the storage and retrieval of completed contracts and related documentation using contract lifecycle management systems and other tools.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the contracts function.

    Your background:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the creation, negotiation, administration, and monitoring of technology-related agreements, and in the use of related automation tools and products

  • In-house experience in the IT industry is essential, ideally in the software sector.

  • Will consider candidates with fewer than 5 years of experience, provided they have a minimum of 2 years of in-house experience in the IT industry

  • A bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field

  • Knowledge of public company controls and procedures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Experience with CRM tools and contract lifecycle management systems, such as Salesforce, Conga, or DocuSign.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, business and results-oriented and team based environment.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
