Description

The Director of Sales Engineering will be directly responsible for leading a team of sales engineers that design and develop assigned IT solutions for our government customers. The Director of Sales Engineeringwork alongside our sales professionals and IT technicians to create technical solutions across multiple IT disciplines including, routing and switching, VOIP, wireless, datacenters, cloud technologies, and cyber security.

Requirements

  • Oversee and lead a team of sales engineers, managing their day-to-day tasks and overall development while maintaining responsibility for team metrics and performance.

  • Performs in-depth and technical presentations for customers, partners, events.

  • Work with sales and engineering teams to build relationships between manufacturers and Colossal.

  • Work with the CTO to further develop training for sales and engineering organizations.

  • Identify new areas of opportunities within the federal civilian market that Colossal could be competitive in.

  • Provide technical sales support for a wide range of products and solutions.

  • Responsible from deployment to completion for assigned customer proof of concepts and product evaluations.

  • Provides mentorship/guidance on technology and competitive trends to clients, partners, and employees.

  • Work with sales teams to identify strong sales opportunities and develop presentations, market research and other sales tools required for successfully selling technologies and services to the federal government.

  • Provide proposal support to Federal Programs and the bid process when needed.

  • Manage key End User technical relationships.

  • Be a leader and mentor within the team and the organization.

  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Work Environment

This individual would work primarily from home with the flexibility to work out of our Annapolis, MD HQ when needed. Special consideration can be made for candidates out of the DMV area who are highly qualified. If required, the employee may have to report to other work areas as directed by the CTO. This position will require on-site work at customer locations across the US with some reporting to other Colossal or vendor locations as needed by the CTO.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time salary position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position will require travel to see customers and the employee will be fully reimbursed for travel expenses. All travel must be approved by supervisor.
