The Director, Sales Position
Sunnova Energy is searching for a Director, Sales for Germany. Our ambitious team is building a network of originators and installers in order to provider clean, affordable and reliable energy to consumers. As Head of Sales, Germany you’ll play an essential role in the expansion of the company in Germany. You will be hiring, developing and leading a team Account Managers, Inside Sales, and Fulfillment to deliver on sales, installation and activation of solar, storage, and other energy service products. You will market our solutions effectively, negotiate deal terms, and deliver a high-level of customer satisfaction to our partners.
Director, Sales Responsibilities
Develops & executes national sales strategy, go to market strategy and goals for all sales
Drives new business development for solar, battery storage, e-mobility, heat pumps and other energy service products
Identifies and responds to new opportunities, customers and partners
Builds new business relationships with originators and installers to expand Sunnova’s product and market offerings
Builds relationships with key audiences to understand their business drivers
Builds a team of customer success and account managers, inside sales and fulfillment operations
Manages active programs to ensure business objectives are being met, and continually analyzes program execution and effectiveness
Develops sales plans, identifies sales trends and insights
Collaborates with sales management and operations teams to set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
Supports local operations team where necessary; assures adherence to project schedules
Develops reports on sales activities
Inputs and manages accounts and sales activity reports through Salesforce’s Customer Relationship Management system
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration
5+ years’ sales and/or account management experience
3-5 years senior manager experience with multiple reports, leading, developing and coaching people
Business English; speak, read and write
Start-up mentality
Strong interpersonal and organization skills
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset
Knowledge of MS Office, PC user skills,
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years’ experience with residential solar and storage sales and installations
Experience selling to solar dealers and installers
Technical knowledge on electrical
Knowledge of Salesforce
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Sales, business development, marketing, and program management.
Demonstrates understanding of solar sales process.
