Position Overview

Responsible for managing US trade accounts and outsourced partners related to product released into commercial inventory including third party logistics, PAP, sample inventory. Responsible for all strategic initiatives related to the wholesale trade industry (barcoding, serialization, and pedigree), channel inventory issues, and all new consumer products launches. Ensures adequate institutional, retail and specialty pharmacy stocking. Support products distribution by working with Customer Service and manufacturing to ensure that inventory levels are maintained to meet trade customer demand and to achieve customer service level goals. Key contributor to the Commercial Operations leadership team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage customer relations and act as main contact for certain trade accounts. Responsible for resolving all issues and communicating all pertinent information to these accounts.

  • Manage all NDC changes and NDC discontinuations with trade and compendia.

  • Manage the timely delivery of wholesale and pharmacy inventory data.

  • Work with Inventory/ Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Managers, and 3PL GM to ensure sufficient inventory levels are maintained at the commercial distribution warehouse to meet wholesale trade demand and manage critical shipping dates to prevent inventory write-offs.

  • Work with finance to resolve any issues with transactional and 3PL back-office support.

  • Ensure adequate patient assistance inventory levels and program oversight.

  • Oversight of the direct to physician sample and institutional replenishment programs through the 3PL and in coordination with manufacturing and sales operations forecasts.

  • Determine our trade partners and ensure Distributor of Record is on file and updated annually.

  • Manage/ coordinate all consumer product launch activities related to the wholesale trade including the following: trade launch letters, new item product information requirements (MSDS, Labels, PIs, and Product Fact Sheets), wholesale sell sheets, and compendia notifications.

  • Evaluate customer scorecards and implement process improvements whenever possible by working with Director Logistics and 3PL on customer service levels.

  • Support integration work and manage trade projects as necessary (barcoding, serialization, pedigree).

  • Attend key trade conferences and meetings with wholesale, institutional, specialty pharmacy and retail executives.

  • Work with Managed Markets team, Sales Force and pharmacies to resolve supply issues in wholesale channels.

Education, Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, advance degree or licensed pharmacist preferred

  • Experience in launching new products.

  • Experience calling on all aspects of the supply side customer base.

  • Experience managing third party logistics and related services (customer service, distribution, returns, complaints, PAP, sampling and dispute resolution).

  • Experience developing and executing wholesale and retail contracts, deals and programs.

Skill Requirement

  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of distribution, wholesale, retail trade, institutional sales and related financial operations.

  • In-depth understanding of the regulatory guidelines and requirements as they apply to the product supply side.

  • Demonstrates effective knowledge of budgeting process, wholesale accounting principles, and effective analytical forecasting and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrates computer and database skills.

  • Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to recognize current and future business and budget needs and plan and implement appropriately.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Demonstrates the ability to apply Company philosophies, policies and procedures to trade business and outsourced supply chain partners.

Travel : up to 50%

Location: Remote

Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000
