ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – GENERATION SENIOR ENGINEER

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Senior Generation Electrical Engineer to work in our Generation Electrical Department. Openings are available for the Boise, ID; Overland Park, KS; and Oradell, NJ offices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead electrical engineer on design of power generation projects

  • Lead electrical engineer on design of renewable energy projects

  • Lead electrical engineer on power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades

  • Lead electrical engineer on federal electrical system upgrades

  • Mentor and teach junior and mid engineers

  • Project proposal and budget development

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

  • Electrical PE License

  • 15 - 30 years of experience leading a team of engineers and designers in power generation projects

  • 15+ years of detailed design engineering experience in power generation projects, including calculations, equipment specifications, etc.

  • 10+ years of relay coordination and schematic design

  • CAD, Microsoft Office, and ETAP or SKM software experience

Desired Education/Experience

  • Master of Science or MBA

  • Onsite construction support experience
