Position: Environmental Scientist 2 Industry: Environmental Compliance / Engineering Location: Remote Compensation: $51,000 $63,000 depending on qualifications experience Apexs Rockies Division is expanding the water resources group and is looking for a Scientist 2. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail orientated and has the people and technical compliance skills needed to support client projects. Your Responsibilities as a Scientist 2: Prepare environmental regulatory compliance permits and reports including stormwater (construction, industrial, and MS4), SPCC, and dewatering. Analyze and interpret field inspection records, stormwater and SPCC diagrams and stormwater control measure maintenance items. Review environmental legislation and regulations and determine impact on client activities. Travel for remote project needs, when necessary, less than 5%. Permit projects, facilities, and operations for transportation and warehousing, construction, oil and gas, renewable energy, building management, and municipal clients. Define and develop your own professional growth with mentoring from senior managers. What were looking for: BS in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or another related field. 4+ years of professional experience in consulting or industry. Experience conducting stormwater inspections, monitoring, and sampling. Experience researching, reviewing, and guiding compliance with environmental regulations at a Federal, State and Local level; including SPCC, NPDES & discharge permitting. Experience permitting and regulatory compliance report development for stormwater. Ability to successfully multi-task and problem solve while maintaining quality and manage your own time. Strong communication skills, and collaborative work ethic. Strong safety awareness, and an understanding of safe work practices. Excellent writing and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite are required. Valid driver's license and a good driving history are required.
