    EMS LEAD INSTRUCTOR

    Faculty Full-Time

    The position of EMS Lead Instructor is Open Until Filled so that we can find the ideal candidate for our amazing team. The normal academic work year for Faculty will be 174 days.

    As the Full-Time EMS Lead Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and facilitating learning using the latest pedagogical, technological, and discipline-specific knowledge. This position requires compliance with state and national standards, including those set by accrediting bodies. The faculty members will engage in teaching, service to the college, and support activities that enhance the educational experience for students. In addition to the duties outlined below, the EMS faculty member will be assigned the Committee on Accreditation for the EMS Professions (CoAEMSP) Lead Instructor role. The Lead Instructor duties may include teaching paramedic or EMT course(s) and/or assisting in coordination of the didactic, lab, clinical and/or field internship instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree

  • Oregon Paramedic License

  • National EMS Education Instructor 1 Certification or equivalent

  • Ability to obtain ACLS, EPC/PALS, and PHTLS Instructor within one year of higher

  • Three years of experience in emergency medicine / prehospital care

  • CPR Instructor

    Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • NREMT and Oregon Paramedic License

  • Current ACLS, EPC/PALS, and PHTLS Instructor
