Rooter Hero Plumbing General Manager in United States

Seeking Highly Skilled and Motivated General Managers/Operations Managers to join our team.

 

Objective: Find a location & open a new cost center, hire & develop a team of service technicians, channel leaders, logistics coordinators, and installers that are willing & able to provide excellent service to our clients while achieving a 20% or greater EBITDA for the division you are running.

 

We offer a base salary of $125,000 - $300,000, Plus a bonus opportunity of up to 50% and Equity in the Company

 

Experience Needed:

  • Prior work in a customer based background preferred.

  • Working in a fast-paced, ever-changing culture.

  • At least 5 years in a management role required.

  • Have some Plumbing knowledge

  • Must have a valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to obtain Home Improvement Sales License (California)

Primary Responsibilities during Start Up of the New Branch:

  • Put together revenue goals and budgets for year 1 & 2 of new location

  • Help find companies and make offers for acquisitions

  • Hire Techs, Channel Leader, Logistic Coordinator, and Installers,

  • Find and secure lease of shop

  • Set up shop with furniture, signs, equipment, computers, and phones

  • Work with Marketing on a marking plan to generating call volume

  • Set up relationships with Vendors in the area

  • Order vehicles inspect them when they come in and accept them

  • Fill all vans that are ordered with techs

  • Learn and set up ST software for div.

Responsibilities Once Location is up and Running:

  • Insure a gross profit of 55%.

  • Go over budgets and insure 20% or greater profitability of division.

  • Create the needed structure to help scale the organization to grow.

  • Implement safety programs, training and make sure all safety is being followed throughout entire divisions you are responsible for.

  • Work with marketing rep to create needed demand to keep the business growing.

  • Go through financial statements and create efficiencies and cut waste to generate desired EBITDA.

  • Coaching underperforming technicians weekly with performance board.

  • Creates a team job average over the average of our divisions of $1,500 or more (includes estimates).

  • Maintains a job cancellation rate of 15%, preferably or lower.

  • Maintains a conversion rate of 75%, or preferably higher

  • Collect all invoices and payments and make sure all get turned in and sent to corporate offices.

  • Hiring, firing technicians, channel managers, installers.

  • Keep an “A” or better BBB grade and “4 star” or better Yelp rating or other online review companies.

  • Maintain needed vehicle equipment & inventory systems.

  • Make sure jobs have permits if necessary and inspections are done.

  • Go over pay incentive reports weekly before payroll and make sure all charge backs are part of the job.

  • Hand out payroll for division.

  • Make sure shop appearance and all vehicle area to our image standards.

  • Makes sure all company rules and policies are being followed.

  • Open up new accounts and maintain relationships with existing commercial accounts.

  • Help in creating recognition programs that enhance productivity for division.

  • Conducts and sets training meetings for technicians.

  • Conducts performance evaluation reviews quarterly with technicians.

  • Go through Orientation Log and make sure all new technicians have all the needed tools to be able to get the job done (tablets, brief case, WOW Box, carpet, tools they need on trucks).

     

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to drive in field

  • Must be able to bend, sit, stand, squat for long periods of time

  • Must be able to work under various weather conditions

  • Must be able to handle entire division needs either through delegation or on call.
