Manages the development, implementation and coordination of all HR and Payroll related policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with all Federal, State/Province, and local employment laws. Assists the business in achieving goals through productive and engaged employees. Attracts and retains talent and effectively engages department personnel. Handles payroll processing.

Accountabilities:

Ensures appropriate communications between the management team and the entire organization including all employee benefits, the applicant tracking process, employee handbook, onboarding of new hires, and terminations.

Ensures the dealership’s reputation and image in the community is consistent with the organization’s values, vision, and mission.

Manages employee files by keeping them current, organized, in compliance with regulations, and maintaining proper confidentiality.

Handles new hire and termination processing, including the unemployment process

Assists management with performance management

Manages and ensures accurate processing of payroll.

Manages the work comp and safety incentive process.

Assists with talent acquisition and recruiting efforts

Assists in administering employee engagement programs

Manages property and casualty insurance claims.

Qualifications:

5+ years experience in Human Resources activities such as compensation and benefits, staffing, employee development, training, and legal compliance.

Degree in Human Resources/Business Management or equivalent experience required.

Human Resource certification preferred.

Payroll experience required.

Ability to use standard desktop applications including Microsoft Office, Teams, and Internet Functions.

Understand minimum wage laws, confidentiality policies, employee notification requirements, and other regulatory policies.

Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.

Experience leading and motivating others.

Solid analytical, business planning, problem solving, communication, motivational and inter-personal people skills and process driven mentality.

Must be self-motivated.
