Primary Function

Leads and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. He/she coordinates the work of department, training, and support of efforts to achieve departmental goals.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the equipment through an effective preventive-predictive maintenance program.

  • Detection and correction of occupational hazards.

  • Development of capital projects focused on the improvement and/or replacement of equipment

  • Set daily goals using charts and/or whiteboards.

  • Responsible for implementing equipment maintenance improvement initiatives.

  • Foster a sense of belonging and proactive leadership in people under their charge.

  • Development and implementation of controls to ensure proper use of equipment.

  • Reduction and improvement of maintenance work seeking to make the process more efficient.

  • Prepare reports of preventive, predictive, corrective and productive maintenance routines.

  • Historical analysis of the equipment looking for improvements in service, identifying failure modes and looking for improvements that guarantee reliability and proper operation.

  • Maintain effective communication with production and materials departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Electromechanical, Maintenance, Mechanical.

  • English: 50 to 60% written and spoken; understands terminology related to their position, able to establish good communication.

  • Hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity.

  • Management of computer packages (MS Office).

  • Continuous improvement.

  • Industrial Maintenance.

  • Resource management bases.

  • Industrial drawing and footprint interpretation.

  • TRESS, SAP knowledge.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Years of Experience

Minimum of 1 year related work experience
