Position Summary
The National Account Director plays a pivotal role in helping BMS CAT identify and develop new business opportunities within the insurance industry. The position should champion strategies and tactics to successfully build win/win relationships with national and regional carriers and brokers to fuel growth for the company. This role will work directly with other sales leaders to support sales efforts with end-users and will partner with Regional Director leaders in our operations team to identify, prioritize, and successfully win new business from within the insurance vertical.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
Develop and implement a dynamic sales strategy targeting commercial insurance brokers, adjusters, and consultants, ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Identify potential clients through in-depth market research, networking, and industry associations.
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to tailor solutions that meet clients' restoration and mitigation needs.
Lead presentations and negotiations, successfully closing contracts with favorable terms.
Strategic Leadership in the Insurance Vertical
Lead market research efforts to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the commercial insurance space.
Collaborate with the marketing team to convert insights into compelling content and campaigns that drive lead generation.
Represent the company as a thought leader at key industry events and conferences, enhancing BMS CAT's visibility and market leadership.
Relationship Management & Sales Leadership
Build, maintain, and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers in the insurance sector, acting as a trusted advisor.
Deliver impactful sales presentations and demonstrations that highlight the value of BMS CAT’s restoration services.
Ensure smooth project execution by collaborating closely with operations, guaranteeing client satisfaction and retention.
Sales Pipeline & Performance Management:
Efficiently manage the sales pipeline, tracking progress and opportunities through CRM systems.
Regularly report on sales performance, providing data-driven insights and forecasts to the management team.
Continuously monitor market trends, competitive activities, and client feedback to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies as needed.
Requirements
5+ years of sales experience in the commercial insurance industry, including brokerage, carrier, adjuster, or consultancy experience, with an established network ready to leverage on day one.
Proven record of closing high-value deals, solving problems proactively, and delivering consistent revenue growth.
Engaging and influential communicator with a strong ability to build trust and credibility with senior executives.
Deep understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance sector, including coverages, claims processes, and industry trends.
Working knowledge of the commercial mitigation and restoration industry is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Salesforce, MS Office, and other sales tools to drive performance, track leads, and win business.
Initiative-taking, purposeful, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Physical Requirements and Travel
Ability to travel extensively (up to 70%) for client meetings, trade shows, and events, often requiring multiple consecutive nights away from home.
Valid US driver’s license and the ability to meet BMS's driving policy requirements.
Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds for trade shows and marketing materials, and to stand for extended periods during events.
Compensation
As the National Account Director, you will receive a base salary and an opportunity for bonus. Your compensation will vary by your location and experience level. This can be discussed during the first interview. In addition, you will be provided with a cell phone, laptop and all the tools you will need to be successful.
