Occupational Therapist (OT) / Certified Hand Therapist (CHT): Lakeshore Bone and Joint Institute - Schererville

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Salary starts at $80k/yr. commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Tuesday & Friday - 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

Work setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic

Location: 833 W. Lincoln Hwy. Suite 110E. Schererville, IN 46375

Lakeshore Bone & Joint is seeking a Hand Therapist with experience in orthosis fabrication and shoulder rehabilitation to join our team and be an integral part of our patient’s orthopedic journey. Responsibilities:

· Developing individualized treatment plans for patients

· Close communication with referral sources

· Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan

· Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury

· Strong documentation skills recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care as needed

· Educating patients and family members about the recovery process

Qualifications:

· Post-Op/Post Injury splinting experience.

· Indiana license as an Occupational Therapist or ability to obtain license.

· Certified Hand Therapy credentialing preferred and/or willing to support a CHT track.

· Applicants must work well with other therapists, physicians, and staff.

· Training is available for the motivated candidate.
