Thrive Communities Painter/Maintenance Technician in United States

Salary: $25 - $28 per hour DOE

Schedule: Full-time; Monday - Friday

  • 3% 401k matching after one year of employment

  • Medical benefits effective after 60 days

Maintenance Technician/Painter Purpose:

The Maintenance Technician/Painter is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Maintenance Team in maintaining the physical integrity of the community. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities.

Maintenance Technician/Painter Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment and tools as directed by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

  • Diagnoses and performs minor or routine maintenance and repairs within homes and throughout the property.

  • Detailed painting and touch ups.

  • Inspects and helps coordinate all needed make-ready repairs and services.

  • Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter.

  • Performs any additional duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

  • Contributes to a positive team environment and happy resident base.

    Maintenance Technician/Painting Qualifications:

  • Prior maintenance experience in property management strongly preferred, but not required

  • Painting experience required

  • Proficient in unit turns and appliance repair is a plus

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong team player

  • Willingness to learn and take initiative on tasks and projects

  • Weekends/listed schedule days are required

  • Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage

  • Supplies their own tools

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on the specific needs of the day. Estimated 66% - 100% of time is spent on feet.

  • Occasional need to bend/stoop/squat, climb stairs, push or pull, and reach above shoulder (cleaning up litter, putting out advertisement sandwich boards, put out balloons, open doors, pick up and move items)

  • Ability to lift/move/push/pull up to 150 lbs on occasion with a frequent need to lift/push/pull 25 lbs - 75lbs and be on your feet a majority of the day
