What You Need to Know

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate based on the selected candidate’s education and experience.

Special Note: Due to this position’s salary having all or a portion of it being funded by grants or contracts, the continuing salary and overall employment is contingent upon availability of these funds in the future.

Location: This is an in-person position located in College Station, Texas.

Required Education and Experience:

  • PhD in physics

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise on many-body quantum physics, quantum dynamics, and/or implementation of computational numerical techniques

  • Programming skills

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD in physics or related field

Responsibilities:

  • Research: Perform research on various topics at the interface of on-equilibrium statistical mechanics, quantum dynamics, and quantum information.

  • Publication of Results: Write results of research in peer-reviewed journals. Participate in conferences and presentations.

  • Mentoring: Advise graduate and undergraduate students. Organize seminars in condensed matter physics.

  • Funding Solicitation: Contribute to funding proposals.
