Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Development:
Lead and conduct research projects in food biomanufacturing, focusing on cell line development, media optimization, and scaffold development for cellular agriculture.
Experimental Design & Analysis:
Design, execute, and analyze experiments related to food biomanufacturing, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and techno-economic analysis.
Develop and validate new techniques for cell isolation, differentiation, and large-scale production of cultivated meat.
Collaboration & Mentorship:
Collaborate with academic and industry partners to translate research findings into practical applications.
Mentor graduate and undergraduate students, providing guidance on research projects and experimental techniques.
Publication & Communication:
Prepare and publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at national and international conferences.
Communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences, including stakeholders, collaborators, and the general public.
Required Education:
- Ph.D. in Food Science, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on food biomanufacturing, cellular agriculture, or fermentation technology.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with cell lines, media development, and bioreactor design.
Strong background in food biomanufacturing, including hands-on experience with cell culture, fermentation, and protein engineering.
Experience with AI-driven optimization, LCA, and techno-economic analysis.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts.
Ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals and present research at scientific meetings.
Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.
