Power Delivery Project Manager

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for our Power Delivery Project Management team located in Richmond, VA. Flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment (employee will need to live within driving distance of the Richmond office to be considered). The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating and executing Power Delivery projects, managing and developing client relationships, and marketing POWER's Power Delivery services to existing and new clients in the respective region.

Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

  • Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships

  • Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled for each project

  • Collaborate with project design teams

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team

  • Develop & maintain schedules, lead project status meetings with project teams, oversee budgets, participate in proposal preparation, take a leading role in client relationships

  • Work primarily with Power Delivery, but may also interface with other divisions, based on the nature of any particular project

  • This position will primarily have local travel to regional clients

  • Demonstrated Project Management skills should include CPM scheduling, budget and cost analysis, managing project teams, as well as proposal writing, client marketing, and project presentations

Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University required engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline OR 10+ years of professional experience in the electric power and communications industry

  • Ten (10) + years of applicable industry experience

  • Five (5) + years of relevant project management experience

  • Relevant experience includes small- to medium-scale project management, and/or project-lead engineering experience on projects

  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools required

  • General understanding of transmission systems required

Desired Education/Experience

  • Familiarity with regional utilities in the respective region

  • PE registration is desired

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

POWER is a fun engineering firm. That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us!

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $110k - $165k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
