Role Responsibilities Takes a primary role in developing and implementing innovative programming to educate the community at large to reduce community suicides. Facilitates the development and implementation of trainings that are offered to community members of East and West Garfield Park, Near Westside, and North Lawndale communities. Facilitates the implementation of suicide prevention strategies by providing education and coordination of community activities. Responsible for the accuracy of all data entered into the applicable program database and ensures that program metrics are met. Follow established process for referring clients for additional program services as appropriate and applicable. Provides mobile educational opportunities, including but not limited to outreach events and meets tangible needs of the community through the distribution of care packages. Education and Experience Requirements Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree with Major in Social Work, Psychology or other Human Services related field. Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience Minimum Experience: Entry Level Preferred Certification/Licensure: N/A Minimum Certification/Licensure: N/A Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Skilled in public speaking and presenting information in large groups. Passionate about mental health. Minimum Qualifications and Skills: Computer Literacy. Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills. Physical Requirements Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling, or standing multiple times a day. Push and pull objects up to 10 pounds. Climb up and down flights of stairs. Lift up to 10 pounds.
