    we are looking for you as a(n)Procurement Excellence Specialist.

The Procurement Excellent Specialist role is responsible for supporting all aspects of WACKER's Procurement Excellence (PL-X) organization in the WACKER Americas in close collaboration with the Global PL-X team.

  • "Efficiency", which is focused on continuous improvement of systems and processes by their implementation, optimization, and change management in the Procurement organization

  • "Analytics & Reporting", which is focused on (i) promoting data-based decisions in Procurement, (ii) providing the Procurement organization with appropriate and timely information (management reporting, statutory reporting) and data

  • "Supplier & Sustainability Management", (i) process responsibility for supplier, sustainability, and quality management (ii) IMS management.

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Americas for all SAP, Ariba, BuyNow and other systems utilized by WACKER Procurement

  • Responsible for investigating and collaborating with internal and external technical teams to resolve challenges encountered by suppliers during day-day SAP, Ariba, BuyNow and other systems operations.

  • Responsible for collaborating with internal and external technical teams and configuring EDI integrations between SAP and Ariba in Americas.

  • Responsible for the development, coordination, and presentation of training to improve the performance and utilization of SAP MM, Ariba, BuyNow and other procurement systems in Americas.

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of SAP, Ariba, BuyNow and other systems related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including investigating deviations from targets, and developing plans to address any gaps.

  • Advocate for the needs of the Americas PL organization within the Global PL-X team, addressing change and improvement requests related to SAP, Ariba, BuyNow and other systems. Additionally, proactively identify areas for process enhancements and recommend modifications to optimize Ariba and BuyNow usage.

  • 1st level support for BuyNow users in Americas

  • Lead and/or represent PL-X in process improvement projects as assigned. This can include projects related to other business units outside of PL that have an impact on the Purchase to Pay cycle (including but not limited to, Engineering, Receiving, Maintenance, and Accounting).

  • Represent WACKER US as a core team member in the North American TfS (Together for Sustainability) initiative, including participation in at least one (1) North American workstream and hosting 1 North American Team meeting annually.

  • Execution of data analyses and preparation of reports for WACKER Americas Procurement in relation to KPI performance (as assigned by the Head of PL-X Americas) of the country and to assist the PL teams in making decisions on how to improve efficiency (e.g., what suppliers to onboard for electronic exchange of procurement documents).

  • Facilitate and lead topics in the New Employee Onboarding Process at the Americas Procurement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or natural sciences (mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry).

  • 2+ years of professional working experience.

  • Proven power user experience and enthusiasm to work at the interface between business and IT e.g., in system implementation projects.

  • Proven and successful project management experience in a lead role.
