Job Description

General Summary

Maintains inventory records by gathering inventory data and completing required paperwork and updating fixed assets database.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains inventory records by gathering inventory data, completing required paperwork, Enters all controlled and capitalized assets into the system.

  • Works with Central Receiving to affix asset tags.

  • Works with Surplus to delete all obsolete and sold assets.

  • Maintains records and files of requisitions related to fixed assets and ensures proper procedures are being followed.

  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local and system policies to campus.

  • Coordinates transfers of property and oversees annual asset inventory in coordination with risk management.

  • Ensures all tags are affixed.

  • Order new tags as necessary.

  • Reviews policies and procedures and provides training to departments (as needed) on fixed assets.

  • Assist Director of Procurement and Contracts with all required reporting concerning fixed assets.

  • Coordinates with procurement card specialist to review fixed assets procured with procurement card and take necessary action including update of fixed asset database.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • One (1) years of related experience

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Three (3) years of related experience
