Responsibilities NIST works with industry and science to advance innovation and improve quality of life. We're looking for a Program Manager, ZA-0340-V to join our team! If selected, you will be Serving as a Senior Program Manager for Management Resources (MR), providing oversight for special projects and programs related to budget; routinely reviews and provides budget process recommendations. Responsible for representing the ADMR in conversations, projects, and efforts pertaining to budget and program management. Leading the development of strategies on how to approach politically sensitive and / or highly visible initiatives and programs related to NIST's approach to budget. Establishes, maintains, and coordinates interactions with NIST Office of Financial Management Resources and NIST Chief of Staff, as well as the Office of Management and Budget, Department of Commerce, and other government agencies pertaining to budget and finance. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 (ZA-IV at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting budget analysis to provide policy and process recommendations in a sizable organization and experience with financial planning for a sizeable organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application. The qualification requirements in this vacancy announcement are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook.
