As the Project Manager, you will collaborate with sales, technical support, field engineering teams, and customer IT and operations staff to install, configure, and provision The Detection Group’s Trident System. Under the guidance of the Vice President, Channel and Rep Sales, you'll handle IoT and network equipment for the system while maintaining positive customer relationships to facilitate follow-on sales across multiple locations. Working remotely, you will primarily be on-site at customer locations and can expect overnight travel up to 15 nights per month.

You Will:

  • Manage customer expectations during the installation and commissioning of The Detection Group’s cloud-based water leak detection and notification system, following guidance from Sales & Field Service Management.

  • Guide and manage Field Service Technicians and Field Service Engineers at customer locations.

  • Identify opportunities to sell and educate customers on additional IoT water-related solutions to enhance the performance and efficiency of their domestic water systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve networking, RF, and other technical issues in collaboration with The Detection Group’s technical support teams and customer engineering, IT, and operations staff.

  • Configure and provision RF, LAN, IoT systems, and WAN-based systems at customer locations, large office buildings, and collaborating with building engineers and other staff.

  • Address nuanced technical issues and unforeseen obstacles patiently and persistently at customer locations, working real-time with customer engineers and other staff.

You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Data Science, Computer Science, or Information Technology.

  • 5+ years of experience, including at least 3 years of Project Management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Electrical, Mechanical, and Software Engineering.

  • Experience supervising or managing Field Service Technicians and/or Field Service Engineers working at customer locations.

  • Proficiency in using RF and WiFi network diagnostic tools and testing devices.

  • Proficiency with web-based applications on both computers and mobile devices, such as CRM systems, scheduling and job tracking systems, expense reporting systems, ERP systems, and billing systems.

  • Technical studies and at least an AA-level college degree or professional certificate in configuring and provisioning cloud, LAN, WAN, RF, or telecommunications systems.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary Range $90K - $110K

Actual compensation within that range will depend upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
