Partner with the best

You'll become a go-to source for how the software works today, how the software will work tomorrow, and how we're going to get there. Collaborating across teams, you'll lead development, design and implementation of globally available, resilient and highly secure services.

As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical leadership to interpret and effect diverse security and data privacy regulations

  • Presenting and supporting architectural and security designs and technical visions to internal cross-functional teams

  • Representing our CDN platform software with our legal team organization in evidence collection and audits

  • Guiding and performing activities (i.e. design and code reviews) to help improve software quality and performance

  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship on best practice and latest technology and security trends, tools and techniques

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Possess experience in software compliance such as FedRamp, GDPR, PCI, and SOC2

  • Have expertise with software architecture for large scale distributed software systems (i.e. the cloud)

  • Demonstrate experience of technical leadership

  • Be responsible, self-motivated, able to think analytically and create solutions to complex problems

  • Possess good written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $149,122 - $238,744/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
