Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese Senior Director-Lake County Community and Programs in United States

Essential Functions of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements below that.

  • Provide overall strategic alignment and operational oversight in Lake County for two operating sites, a program portfolio in Immediate Access and Basic Needs, and all Mission Engagement activities in Lake County. Regularly connect and reinforce mutually enriching bonds between Cook and Lake County staff, donors, and other key organizational partners.

  • Lead the alignment and advancement of Catholic Charities' mission and values across a core set of programs and activities.o Ensure the success of Lake County programs and services, providing leadership to Lake County employees to drive achievement of goals and key performance outcomes.o Identify and champion key priorities and relationships that help us welcome people with open arms and sustain targeted programs that enable the people we serve to heal, grow, and gain a sense of belonging.

  • Cultivate and grow strategic, mutually reinforcing partnerships with parishes in the Catholic Church in Lake County. o Partner with the Vice President, Faith and Mission and the mission engagement team to build and sustain a small suite of active, impact-focused parish, priest, and volunteer initiatives. o Assure that these initiatives align with CCAC’s broader outreach and engagement strategies and are regularly assessed.

  • Continue to build and enrich CCAC’s reputation presence as the most trusted partner in the region. o Connect regularly with the leaders of our peer organizations, local government partners, and elected officials, in partnership with our Director of Government Relations. o Establish oneself as a trusted partner to the Vicar (Bishop) and local church staff and work with the Vice President, Faith, and Mission to develop, maintain and grow these relationships.

  • Ensure that our community centers are welcoming places for all Lake County residents, and particularly our employees, the people we serve, our volunteers, and our supporters.o Work with program leaders and reception staff to foster a culture that speaks to Catholic Charities’ values and our local communities partnering as appropriate with the Chief People Officer and Vice President, Faith, and Mission.o Partner with Vice President–Real Estate and Facilities to ensure building operations, including maintenance and security, run smoothly.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Relevant Education:Preferred: Master's Degree in related field

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in related field

Relevant Experience:Preferred: 10+ Years in Leadership; preference for experience working within Lake County communities, particularly those of greatest need
