Red Hat Senior Software Engineer - RHEL AI and Hardware Accelerators in United States
The Red Hat Ecosystems Engineering group is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join our growing team in Israel. In this role, you will work with a diverse team of highly motivated engineers on designing and implementing and productizing a new RHEL AI product, focused on deep integration of AI stack, hardware accelerators and leading OEMs and CCSPs.
You will also be working closely with the product management, other engineering groups within Red Hat, and with Red Hat partners and lighthouse customers. Must be able to work Hybrid from one of our offices in Raleigh NC, Boston MA, Durham NC or Lowell MA.
What you will do:
Develop and implement software for RHEL AI that leverages hardware accelerators (e.g., GPUs, AIUs..)
Package RHEL AI components for distribution on Red Hat platforms
Drive the certification of RHEL AI with relevant hardware and software vendors
Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to ensure optimal integration between RHEL AI and accelerators
Contribute to the design and implementation of new features for RHEL AI
Perform performance analysis and optimization of AI workloads on RHEL with accelerators
Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code
Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI frameworks, hardware accelerators, and RHEL AI
What you will bring:
Strong experience with RHEL or other Linux distributions
Experience with hardware accelerators (e.g., GPUs, FPGAs) for AI workloads is a plus
Ability to work Hybrid in Boston MA, Lowell MA or Raleigh NC or Durham NC
Experience with a container ecosystem like Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
The following is considered a plus:
Knowledge of AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
Background in DevOps or site reliability engineering (SRE)
Experience with performance analysis tools
Experience with Linux kernel development
The salary range for this position is $90,480.00 - $144,660.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
