Job Description:

The Army Sales Engineer will be a key stakeholder in the development and execution of L3Harris Communications System’s strategic growth plan. The individual will be responsible for working directly with key customers to identify and develop technical solutions for customer solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with US Army tactical communications, waveforms and SATCOM systems.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide technical thought leadership to the US Army customers in assigned area of responsibility

  • Create and develop relationships with key customers and technical leadership

  • Assist business development and sales team with key demos and engagements

  • Position L3Harris capabilities to meet customer requirements

  • Work with the sales team to develop and present executive level briefings and presentations on business cases that support growth in existing and new markets.

  • Work closely with sales, business development, program management, product line management, engineering and other core functional leaders across the segment and corporate organizational structure.

  • Understand soldier systems with strong understanding of associated requirements.

  • Understand manned and unmanned requirements with a strong understanding of requirements.

  • Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross functional leadership skills.

  • Travel up to 25%

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant communications experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related communications experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related communications experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Business or engineering degree a plus

  • Prior military service desired

  • Strong tactical communications background

  • Strong Business Acumen skills

  • Ability to form meaning relationships with key customers

  • Self-starter: ability to work with little direct oversight

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
