Responsibilities The employee provides services to TTB customers and business partners in a geographic area that includes the continental U.S. and Puerto Rico and is responsible for providing their own workspace within the continental U.S. The position requires frequent travel approximately 1- -5 nights per month throughout this area. This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB),Assistant Administrator - Field Operations - Intelligence Division. As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will: - Assign resources to individual projects and programs, continue to monitor them and maintain metrics on each to determine their efficacy; make recommendations for continuing, modifying or dropping projects as necessary. - Develop policies pertaining to assigned program areas. Determines and resolve complex and sensitive issues to implement team and ID policies. - Direct and monitor a comprehensive liaison program between TTB and appropriate local, state, federal or tribal partner agencies as it relates to the assigned area. - Identify support needs and adjusts to changes in the operating environment. - Serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist in ID and is responsible for the management and direction of assigned ID team members and activities. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Acting as a lead or senior specialist in such things as: analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting investigative/intelligence information: AND - Identifying intelligence gaps and developing creative solutions to fill them: AND - Experience disseminating intelligence findings and project results to various audiences. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow Treasury to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
