Jack Henry is actively seeking a System Network Administrator to be an integral part of their successful team. This role will directly work with customers for server upgrades and support. You will utilize innovative technology, tools, and techniques to analyze and troubleshoot solutions to complex server and network problems.

This position will work in remotely within the U.S. and will come with a competitive benefits and compensation package.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Implementing system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the system.

  • Testing of POS peripherals and communication equipment required for implementations including printers, scanners, terminal servers, and signature pads.

  • Administer AIX servers, including printing support, network configuration, and performance tuning and troubleshooting.

  • Perform server upgrades, including data and configuration migration.

  • Perform coordinated server and data center move projects.

  • Analyze and troubleshoot network issues and provide recommendations using ping, traceroute, nslookup, ARP, and Wireshark.

  • Provide leading phone/virtual support to customers using proper prioritization, documentation, and case/queue management.

  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

    What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Network or Server Support, Administration role.

  • Must have experience troubleshooting and supporting customers.

  • Must have ability to work weekend and afterhours as the business need dictates.

  • Must be available for on call rotation.

  • Must be able to travel up to 30%.

    What would be nice for you to have:

  • Ability to quickly adapt to and learn new technologies.

  • Proficient in practical, WAN/LAN communication troubleshooting.

  • Infrastructure equipment installation and configuration experience.

  • PC/desktop/peripheral support experience.

  • Strong experience with server implementation and troubleshooting.

  • Basic knowledge of Windows servers administration.

  • Basic concept of virtualization

  • Microsoft SQL server administration experience is a plus.

  • UNIX/Linux command-line administration experience (AIX preferred).

  • Microsoft Active Directory administration experience is a plus.

  • Credit Union or Banking Industry experience is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree with an MIS emphasis or equivalent experience.

  • Network+ or A+ certification or equivalent network/infrastructure support experience.
