CAE USA INC Technician - Flight Simulation I in United States
About This Role
We are looking for a team player with strong IT, Software and Troubleshooting experience. The ideal candidate for this role must be a creative, solution orientated, problem solver.
Essential Job Functions
Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
With safety a primary concern, assist in diagnosing and correcting routine problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
Perform pre-flight and post flight tasks on designated simulators.
Perform basic visual alignments.
Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG).
Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities.
Complete all designated training activities.
Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
Learn and comply with CAE quality management system.
Provide customer service support and address customer needs in a timely manner.
Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair, and testing/validation.
Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
Perform all administrative tasks as required.
Education & Experience Requirements
2-year technical degree or equivalent related training, or military avionics experience
Software knowledge
Experience in electronics/avionics, automated systems, or computer networking repair and troubleshooting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in reading and interpreting prints and schematics
Knowledge of analog and digital theory
Basic skills in the operation of test equipment
Basic skills in soldering and circuit board repair, preferred
Some knowledge of PCs and MS-Office tools and suite
Motivated in customer support and attention to detail
Working conditions: Technician
Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time up to 8-10 hours per day
Ability to pick up 25 lbs. or more
Stooping, squatting may be required
Able to repair equipment in various spaces
Location
The primary work location for this position is the CAE Las Vegas, Nevada Training Facility
Minimal travel may be required (less than 10%).
