Leidos Inventory Management Specialist in Vista, California

Leidos’ Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) operation is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist in Vista, CA to join our team. As a member of the Leidos Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, you will be joining a diverse and dedicated group who are excited about producing industry leading screening technology. Our team produces a comprehensive suite of fully automated and integrated products for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure customers. These systems provide threat detection by screening baggage, cargo, and people at checkpoints around the world.

Leidos is looking for an Inventory Management Specialist to support our company’s warehouse operations. You will receive, input, sort, load and unload products and perform various warehouse activities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Uses Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for transacting material out of inventory and perform location transfers

  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties when needed

  • Pull and complete work orders to support the production department

  • Ensure inventory is put away in the correct row, shelf, bin locations

  • Perform daily cycle counts

  • Transfer material between warehouses utilizing company truck

  • Ability to work independently and safely

  • Monitor and report any missing or lost inventory

  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers

  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

  • Comply with procedures, rules and regulations

  • Operate and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts

  • Keep a clean and safe working environment

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience as receiving clerk or similar warehouse position

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).

  • Working knowledge of computer programs (ERP and/or warehouse management system) for entering data

  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment

  • Excellent math and recording abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Great communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to push/pull 200 lbs.

  • Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.

  • Must be able to work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of inventory management/warehouse experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Familiarity with ERP programs would be a distinct advantage

Pay Range:

Pay Range $33,150.00 - $59,925.00
