Amergis Treatment Manager in Vista, California

Job Title: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate AMFT, APCC, or ACSW to join our team at Amergis. The successful candidate will work with male youths who have serious emotional or behavioral problems, providing therapeutic support and interventions in a school mental health setting. This role is crucial in helping students achieve their full potential by addressing their mental health needs and promoting a positive school environment.

Location: Vista, CA

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Mondays and Fridays start at 7:30 AM)

Pay: $40hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with male youths.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ emotional and behavioral development.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all therapy sessions and interventions.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ emotional and behavioral needs.

  • Offer training and support to school staff on mental health issues and interventions.

  • Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.

  • Valid California AMFT, APCC, or ACSW registration.

  • Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with serious emotional or behavioral problems.

  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a school setting.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
