Job Purpose/Objectives/Complexity/Financial Impact/Summary

Safely perform operational and production work in the Bionutrients plant. Control various machines and equipment involved in the production process. The essential and key link to our operational performance. Ultimately responsible for being able to operate all production functions and associated equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities/Tasks/Direct Reports

*Production machinery and equipment is operated in accord with prints, specifications and methods and is maintained (including preventative maintenance standards) in accord with manufacturer specifications.

*Safety is paramount, employees understand the standards and the need for compliance.

*Assigned machinery and equipment may change daily due to operational requirements. Efficiency will be at the highest level with all Associates having knowledge of all methods of production over time.

*Production is maintained or exceeded within established specifications, processes and quality standards.

*Constant measurement of production results, ensuring compliance with safety, quality and specifications.

*Maintain logs and records of production, quantities produced including rejects or other non-conformance, inventories, documentation and reports.

*Constant equipment inspection and performs proper setup/alignment/calibration for maximum operational performance. May also perform basic and routine equipment adjustment and maintenance procedures.

*Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and orderly total plant environment.

*Expectation for identifying and eliminating waste in all operations. Ensure efficiency/productivity by constant equipment/process evaluation with input to required modification.

*Ensures raw materials and finished goods are handled, processed and stored properly.

*Ensures that all employees follow hygiene procedures in all work activities.

Qualifications

Education:High School diploma or equivalent

Experience:Several years of previous manufacturing work environment preferred, including the operation of production machinery and associated equipment. Material handling, industrial dryer, pelleting mill, hammermill, and DSC control experience a plus.

Computer Skills:Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite of products or related software preferred.

Other Requirements:Previous experience with problem-solving and analytical skills preferred. Knowledge of OSHA and Environmental regulations would be helpful.

Physical Requirements /Environment

Prolonged periods working on your feet, using tools and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending/stooping. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds. Exposure the high and low temperatures in certain work conditions. Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, maintain plant cleanliness and inspect product at stages of production.
