Lochridge-Priest Inc Assistant Project Manager - Summer 2025 Internship in Waco, Texas

Position Summary

The Project Manager is solely responsible for the complete oversight and delivery of a successful project, which includes maximizing project margins while promoting company objectives and goals through the performance of his/her team, meeting quality and safety standards, responding to customer needs, and cultivating customer relationships through proactive interaction. This intern position provides opportunities for a highly motivated student ready to take on new challenges to support the Project Manager on complex projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • This internship is to understand project organization, planning, programming, administration, design, and construction phases of projects.

  • Assist in preparing pre-job tasks and presenting segments of continuing planning team meetings to ensure all special reports, studies, and statistical analysis.

  • Accompany superintendents on project quality walk throughs and attend various project team meetings.

  • Learn the basics of project costs, tracking materials, project coordination, safety and managing submittals.

  • Have a hands-on, career enhancing experience on heavy construction projects.

  • Occasionally required to light and/or move up to, 25 pounds.

    Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

  • Mut be at least 18 years of age.

  • Eligible to work 40 hours per week.

  • Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, reports, etc.

  • Excellent computer skills with intermediate to advance Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Must be team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
