Purpose of Job This position is responsible for assisting staff in the coordination of intra-and inter-departmental activities and communication. Assists with patient-related activities under the supervision of the RN. Job Functions Process physician orders. Communicates pertinent information regarding unit/department activates to appropriate staff. Processes admissions, transfers, discharges, and schedules appointments. Restocks and orders supplies for unit/area. Completes assigned clerical responsibilities. Performs support functions for management staff as required. Maintains the flow of the department by coordinating care of the patient between other departments. Demonstrates competencies in the specialty area of Two Medical. Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned.
