Aerotek Service Technician in Waddell, Arizona

Job Title: Service Technician

If you have mechanical install/service or HVAC experience on an industrial or commercial scale, or worked within a Data Center positioning equipment, you would likely fit really well for this position. Be a part of a team that will service HVAC-related automation equipment within a Data Center environment.

Training will be provided on specific applications, but must have 1-2+ years of similar or complex machinery experience.

Start date expected for Jan 20th, and will go 8-9 months(Possibility to go direct or we will redeploy with a similar or better paying position locally for those with good standing.)

Job Description

Join a team building and servicing the leading innovative product that is the future of electric motors for data centers! We are building a team of skilled Service Technicians to provide exceptional mechanical support to our customers. You will perform a high volume of mechanical bearings replacements, troubleshooting, and repair of our Integrated Motor & VFD (cooling systems) products at customer sites. Additionally, you will document your work, provide technical feedback to internal teams, and develop relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site repairs to minimize customer downtime, specifically replacing bearings on all motors

  • Document all troubleshooting and repair activities

  • Provide detailed service reports that support department metrics

  • Install and commission integrated motor and VFD products at customer sites

  • Conduct on-site troubleshooting and testing of integrated motor and VFD

  • Provide technical feedback to internal teams, including sales, product management, operations, and engineering

  • Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction

Essential Skills

  • Mechanically inclined

  • Comfortable using hand and power tools

  • Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge, such as checking voltage with a meter

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds, perform heavy labor, and work in non-climate-controlled environments at times

  • Ownership attitude and high initiative

  • Customer interfacing experience or ability

  • Comfortable operating scissor lifts or man lifts

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a prior technician role with customer interfacing

  • Fan balancing experience

  • Troubleshooting or testing experience with VFDs

  • Experience with electric motors

  • Experience working within data centers

Work Environment

Primary work locations are data centers in Ashburn, VA, Northlake, IL, and Waddell, AZ (teams for each location). The role involves primarily working 1st shift hours (approx. 7:30am - 4:30pm), but a potential for afternoon/evening shifts or on-call work. The work environment is mostly indoors, but may eventually include outdoor work, such as on flat roofs of commercial buildings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of the Waddell area to greater Phoenix.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00
