The Project Manager holds the primary responsibility of executing the design with a high level of quality and technical completeness of work. Project Managers plan, organize, and/or supervise the work of staff engineers, architects and technicians in the design and construction stage of a project. They foster positive relationships within the entire team both internal and external and directly interact with clients to negotiate contract terms, define scope, and maintain consistent communication. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Architecture with 10 years of experience in project management•Minimum 3 years of management experience•Architecture license required•Strong knowledge of codes, guidelines and regulations applicable to architecture projects•Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and strong communication within these teams•Extensive experience with computer-aided design/drafting programs (Revit required)•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites •Proficient in Project Management software (i.e., Deltek) •Able to read, understand, and interpret Construction Drawings across all disciplines•Strong understanding of project delivery methods and process•Strong understanding of contract types and ability to properly administer the contract obligations•Strong knowledge and familiarity with projects within the public sector preferred with private sector a bonus•Ability to develop programs, initial design concepts, and establish project goals•Self-starter with initiative and strong follow-though•Ability to work with minimal supervision•LEED AP designation highly preferred•Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to come up with timely and efficient solutions to complex problems and issues•Ability to lead a team (internal and external) and organize everyone around a common goal•Ability to multitask multiple projects and teams with exceptional organizational skills•Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills•Positive service-oriented attitude toward the firm, our employees, and the clientsESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:•Coordination with client, subconsultants, and internal team•Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines•Foster positive client relationships. Directly interact with clients to negotiate contract terms, and maintain consistent communication•Plan, organize, direct, and manage project team activities •Coordinate and produce accurate and complete Bid and Construction packages including but not limited to: drawings, specifications, cost estimates, basis of design, and other miscellaneous reports and documents.•Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment•Set goals and participate in evaluating staff performance•Set positive examples and provide mentorship and guidance to expand the skillsets of all team members•Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on strengths and expertise•Define and control project scope, budget, and schedule while minimizing scope creep•Monitor project financials including but not limited to project expenses, manpower projections, identify cost-saving/efficiency opportunities, and periodically report on budget performance•Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies in a proactive manner•Proactively address issues to prevent project delays and setbacks •Participate and support Change Management initiatives with may include planning, training and support, monitoring, reinforcement and enforcement of procedures and standards.•Review and comprehend in detail Requests for Proposals and prepare fees proposals•Assist with Requests for Qualifications and other project pursuits•General technical project oversight/management, technical design •Proactively seek opportunities and participate in business development•Interact with building officials during project permitting and construction phases•Maintain project manual and conduct and document on-site observations and reviews•Monthly project progress billing and manage profitability of each project and team•Performs other related duties if necessaryLOCATION: Waipahu, HISALARY RANGE: $100,000 - $135,000 per year depending on experience.Please apply online at: www.bowersandkubota.comEqual Opportunity Employer/Vets/Disabled100% Employee Owned
