Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant located in Waller, Texas, 77484. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and updating financial records. Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately process and manage all aspects of accounts payable, including timely payment of bills, inputting invoices into accounting software, and preparing checks or executing electronic payments.

• Proactively resolve any disputes or discrepancies with vendors.

• Conduct regular reviews of all balance sheet accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.

• Resolve any discrepancies in bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting practices.

• Assist with internal and external audits as required.

• Maintain an up-to-date, accurate record of all financial transactions.

• Ensure that financial reports accurately reflect the company's financial position.

• Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close.

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of experience in a Staff Accountant role.

• Must possess strong skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, Journal Entries, and Month End Close procedures.

• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.

• Must have the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports.

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Must have a strong ethical framework and understanding of confidentiality regarding company financial information.

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.

• Must have the ability to adapt and learn new systems and processes quickly.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
