LOCATION: Hybrid (8 days in the office per month) from one of our Eastern or Central Time offices: Chicago (IL), Riverwoods (IL), Indianapolis (IN), Waltham (MA), New York City (NY), Philadelphia (PA), Hagerstown MD, or Madison (WI)

Your role for Medi-Span Clinical Effectiveness team will be focused on the North America hospitals and health systems segment (provider segment). You represent the voice of the customer and will be responsible for researching, designing, and introducing innovative machine-readable solutions into the healthcare market that will benefit our customers and partners along with those who depend on them. Your role will be the bridge between market and engineering teams and will focus on data and solutions that support hospitals and health systems in North America specifically and also impact our customers across the globe.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Product delivery and execution for new products, features and offerings following an agile data-driven product lifecycle model.

  • Manage existing products for your product domain areas, provide data-driven decisions, prioritize new investments and tradeoffs, and grow the product value.

  • Define market personas, use cases, adoption targets, return on investment metrics and product success criteria.

  • Create business cases and interact with technical product owners to ensure your vision is translated into actionable and accurate requirements.

  • Assist in creation and maintenance of marketing collateral, product training and documentation materials in support of the launch, implementation, and support of your solutions.

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive landscape research and present findings to team members.

  • Work with customers, internal clinical and business Subject Matter Experts, Engineering, Marketing and Sales to refine Provider segment-specific product strategies.

  • Curate relationships with customers and customer end-users, in particular Epic, and be able to represent the ‘voice of the customer’ for product and engineering activities.

  • Participate in select industry conferences, professional organizations, and customer events representing subject matter expertise areas and related products.

  • Promote collaboration and coordination with cross functional stakeholders and business leaders to build the broader product strategy.

  • Manage the success of your product areas throughout the product lifecycle, facilitate feedback activities and drive continuous improvement activities.

  • Be the subject matter expert for North America electronic health record product implementations, configurations, workflows, support tools, and analytic capabilities, ensuring our solutions meet customer needs in existing and future Provider workflows.

  • Be the subject matter expert for relevant North America healthcare regulations, technology standards, clinical practice standards, and challenges, including the strengths and weaknesses of existing solutions that address these challenges.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of drug data and logic that supports prescribing, pharmacy verification, drug monitoring/ surveillance, expert dosing, drug screening and alert fatigue.

  • A team-player able to innovate and create solutions by gathering input from multiple sources, externally and internally, to determine the best course of action.

  • Promote, track, and communicate project and program activities for your product areas including pilot programs.

  • Participate in product pricing/packaging activities with Product Marketing team members.

  • Deliver “sales pitches” and product demonstrations to prospects and customers, evangelize product capabilities and industry thought-leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, healthcare, or equivalent field.

  • Advanced degree and/or informatics residency preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ comprehensive experience in healthcare provider medication-related workflows including that of prescribers, pharmacists, and nurses.

  • Minimum 3 years’ recent experience in Epic drug data analyst, pharmacy informatics, or related role.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with product management or related experience.

Preferred Experience:

  • Pharmacy operations and business decision support experience.

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and lean development methodologies.

  • Management of multiple projects simultaneously with effective time and capacity management.

  • Communications of complex, technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

  • Design, lead, and conduct research projects, summate findings, and provide recommendations.

  • Writing detailed product specifications and documentation approach to solving challenges.

  • Working in a matrixed management, cross-functional environment working with remote teams and geographically distributed teams.

TRAVEL: Average 15% Travel – typically up to 3 US travel activities per quarter (2-3 days each) for customer engagement, professional conferences, industry events, and team activities.

Compensation:

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $141,000-$197,550
