A BRIEF OVERVIEW:
The Warehouse Supervisor will assist in the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, focusing on receiving, seed conditioning, inventory management, packing, and shipping to ensure we meet company goals and deadlines. The Warehouse Supervisor will work in tandem with another supervisor and report directly to the Operations Manager and contribute to maintaining the physical condition and organization of the warehouse. This position involves hands-on work in various aspects of warehouse operations to support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Brotherton Seed's production plant. The Warehouse Supervisor will adhere to strict safety standards and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Mix and Apply Seed Treatment (WSDA License Required), Bag Seed, Palletize Seed (55 lb sacks), Clean Machinery in between Seed Variety Changes, Manage Quality Control, Complete Inventory Documents, Load Trucks, Boxcars, and Ocean Containers.
- Set and Operate Seed Milling Equipment, Clean Machinery in between Variety Changes, Manage Quality Control, Complete Inventory Documents, Load Containers for Ocean Shipments.
- Harvest: Collecting Seed into Boxes from Farmer's Trucks, Sampling of Seed, Seed Moisture Testing, Complete Inventory Documents, Strong Written and Oral Communication with Brotherton's Fieldsmen & Growers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have management, supervisor, or crew leader experience
Must have experience and understanding of warehousing strategies and principles
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must have or willing to obtain WSDA Private Commercial Applicator license for seed treatment and fumigation
Must adhere to and enforce WISHA/Labor & Industries safety practices
Must have or willing to obtain forklift certification
Must have valid US driver's license, be insurable, and have reliable transportation
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
Must have effective written and oral communication skills
Must have exceptional organizational skills
Must be able to work in fast paced, stressful situations
Must be able to work in noisy, dusty, hot, and cold environments

WAGE/SALARY:
Starting wage range is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour; however, each applicant is determined on a case-by-case basis and is ultimately offered a wage DOE/Q.
