Work Arrangement :  

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum.

What You’ll Do:

Sustainable Workplaces is charging ahead with a new mission! As part of our exhilarating program, you’ll gain first-hand experience working closely with leadership to support and lead projects such as process improvements, cost saving efficiencies, standardized data, technology research, and the validation of a new Industrial Engineering (IE) tool that supports the life cycle of facility services towards a sustainable future. This position includes collaborating and visiting GM manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites. There’s never been a more exciting time to join the Sustainable Workplaces team!

How You’ll Make an Impact:

The results of your evaluation will determine the future direction of Facilities Management (Food Services, Housekeeping and Maintenance). Be a part of these groundbreaking investigative projects where you will impact change.

Required Qualifications:

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management or Engineering such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• Expected graduation between December 2025 and May 2028

• Able work fulltime, 40 hours per week

Start dates for this internship role are May & June of 2025.

Compensation:

• The salary range for this role is $3,500-$4,700 monthly, dependent upon class status and degree.

• GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2025 Student Program.
