Henry Ford Health System Behavioral Services Psychotherapist- Full time- Van Dyke Lincoln High School in Warren, Michigan

  • Provides evidence based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team.

  • Also provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed.

  • Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Master's (or Doctoral) degree in clinical or counseling psychology with one year supervised post masters experience; OR

  • Master's degree in Social Work with two years post Master's experience in mental health/chemical dependency setting.

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED : Licensed Psychologist; OR Limited Licensed Psychologist; OR LicensedMaster's in Social Work.

    Preferred Skills

    Education Required:

Graduated from an accredited university or college with a master’s degree social wor k, andfully licensed to practice in the state of Michigan (passed their State of MI MSW Licensure exam).

Experience :

  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience providing individual, group & family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21 and their families.

  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective behavioral health care/treatment plans.

  • Experience working on a multidisciplinary/integrated team; either in an urban school environment, outpatient behavioral health setting and/or primary care setting with high-risk clients/families.

  • The skill set to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic integrated team with excellent organization skills.

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional behavioral health services; to effectively communicate with patients, fa

  • milies, and other personnel.
