About the Position: Position will be for GROUND COMBAT SYSTEMS R&S DIRECTORATE, Artillery, Bradley & Carrier, PSID, Infantry Support Group. Responsibilities Analyzes the organization's logistical performance based on information supplied by customers, performance metrics, review and analysis, and audits by outside agencies. Performs special projects and studies to include examination and analysis of potential problems, development of recommended solutions, and recommendations for testing and improving procedures, programs, and/or systems as they relate to the mission. Analyzes unit readiness rates to identify trends and systemic issues. Coordinates with group members, units, Readiness counterparts, Program Managers and the Defense Logistics Agency to resolve issues and maintain fleet readiness. Provides advice to the Group Leader on matters related to analysis of logistical data through liaison with higher headquarters, other business centers, and other ICSC Product Line Executives and organizations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Providing readiness analysis to assigned weapon system for supply support strategies; AND (2) Coordinating with representatives concerning readiness issues and provide information or assistance; and (3) Reviewing inventory to provide optimize material availability or weapon system status for unit readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Organizational Performance Analysis Problem Solving Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2 This position has a Data Analytics requirement. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position. This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet the position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics within 36 months of entrance on duty. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Occasional travel may be required for this position. Position may be filled as a temporary appointment NTE 1 year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army Employees applying for a temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
