Forest / Warren Human Services Children and Youth Intake Caseworker in WARREN, Pennsylvania

Forest Warren Human Services is looking for team members who are willing to assist us in making a difference in people's lives. This is a career with impact. This position conducts investigations and assessments of complaints, requests, and referrals for service to determine if a child has been abused or neglected and the family's appropriateness for services to alleviate the circumstances which led to the abuse or neglect, as well as, performing mental health delegate services.   This position offers a flexible work environment, robust training program and great benefits. In this role you will receive 120 hours of training before working directly one on one with families. In addition, while in training, we offer peer shadowing opportunities and experiences to enhance your knowledge in the diversity of services offered within Forest Warren Human Services. Not to mention, you will be eligible for a paid Masters in Social Work and student loan forgiveness programs.  Finally, the County offers 13 paid holidays plus 2 paid personal days; paid vacation and sick time; health, dental, vision, and life insurance and a pension program.

Qualifications:    Caseworker 1:    A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR two years experience as a Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a Social Services Aide 3.

Caseworker 2:    Six months as a Caseworker 1; OR successful completion of the Social Casework Intern Program; OR a bachelor's degree with a social welfare or social work major; OR a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.

*Position requires applicant to pass Criminal History, Childline, and FBI clearances at time of hire.  A valid driver's license is required. College transcripts need to be submitted with resume.
