NORTHWEST BANK Funds Transfer Processor in Warren, Pennsylvania

 

This Funds Transfer Processor will be responsible for daily processing ACH transfer activity including incoming and outgoing transfers. The processor will also be responsible for processing wire transfer activity including incoming and outgoing transfers. This individual answers calls, resolves exceptions, and researches and responds to ACH and wire related inquiries received from clients, business partners, other banks or financial institutions. This position is eligible for a shift differential. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Process all incoming and outgoing ACH transfers accurately and within established service level agreements while strictly adhering to all bank policies and procedures Process all incoming and outgoing wire transfers (Domestic, International USD and International Foreign Currency) accurately and within established service level agreements while strictly adhering to all bank policies and procedures Ensure all ACH and wires have been properly processed and all due diligence requirements have been performed Adhere to risk management procedures and practices for department first line of defense activities Investigate and escalate suspicious or fraudulent claims in accordance with policies Set up ACH/Wire customers and scans documentation Ensure compliance with all established Federal Regulations for ACH and wire transfers (OFAC, BSA/AML, Dodd-Frank, etc.) Perform all operational support duties within the Funds Transfer Department Reconcile (daily) all ACH systems, wire systems and teller transactions relative to wires and ACH Respond to customer or business partner inquiries with exemplary customer service in the established timeframe Participate in job specific training Ability to work flexible and late shift hours Ability to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and information Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency Work as part of a team Work with on-site equipment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in solving problems and making decisions Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written Ability to actively listen to what others are saying to achieve understanding, sharing information with others and facilitating the open exchange of ideas and information Ability to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and information Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas Knowledge of ACH transfer policies and procedures Knowledge of Wire transfer policies and procedures Knowledge of appropriate ACH processing, core, teller and documentation storage systems Knowledge of appropriate Wire processing, core and documentation storage systems Knowledge of accounting, balancing, banking and electronic transaction processing Ability to work on multiple tasks without compromising quality Ability to resolve issues with assistance from management Ability to look for ways to help customers without introducing risk to the bank Ability to manage time and meet deadlines in a dynamic and complex environment, while minimizing risk to the bank and maintaining the highest level of customer service Ability to work flexible hours QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
