Forest / Warren Human Services Intellectual Disabilities Social Services Aide 2 or 3 in WARREN, Pennsylvania

This position provides case aide support to the Program Director, Casework Supervisors, and Caseworkers within the Intellectual Disabilities department. The position reports to Intellectual Disabilities supervisor and the Human Services Administrator. This position's duties include but are not limited to, teaching money management, reviewing payee's budgets, communicating with caseworkers on individual's needs, completing necessary forms, setting up, and providing transportation to individuals, attends meetings, filing and more. Qualifications:
Social Services Aide 2:
- Graduation from high school or its equivalency and two years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency, which includes one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; or
- An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, and criminal justice or other related social sciences.
Or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Social Services Aide 3:
- One year as a Social Services Aide 2; or Graduation from high school or its equivalency and three years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency, which includes one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; or
- An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, and criminal justice or other related social sciences and one year of experience in a human services agency, which includes one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information.
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Clearances:
- Must have Act 34 PA State Police Criminal History, Act 151 PA Child Abuse and FBI clearances prior to employment. Other clearances may be required depending on the employee's state of residence. All clearances must reflect acceptable results. Clearances are to be renewed every five years.
Must not appear on Preclusion Lists as defined by "Pennsylvania's Medical Assistance Bulletin 99-11-05 Provider Screening of Employees and Contractors for Exclusion from Participating in Federal Healthcare Programs".
*Position requires applicant to pass Criminal History, Childline, and FBI clearances at time of hire. A valid driver's license is required.
