DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:  Primary Duties & Responsibilities  * Develop and deploy AI applications using Python and relevant frameworks.  * Design, build, and maintain web applications using Django.  * Implement and fine-tune language models and machine learning algorithms.  * Containerize applications using Docker for consistent and scalable deployment.  * Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.  * Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software.  * Lead and manage small-scale AI projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.  * Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.  * Document technical processes and provide support for deployed applications.  * Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corporation to achieve common goals.

Education & Experience  * BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent degree.  * Proven experience in Python programming and web development using Django.  * Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.  * Knowledge of language models, machine learning algorithms, and AI systems.

Skills  * Expert proficiency in Python programming.  * Strong experience with Docker and containerization technologies.  * Proficiency in web application development using Django.  * Deep knowledge of implementing language models and machine learning algorithms.  * Familiarity with other AI systems and frameworks.  * Leadership capabilities to manage small-scale projects and guide team members.  * Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.  * Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.  * Ability to work effectively with other members of Coherent Corporation to achieve common goals.  * Adaptability to rapidly changing technologies and a proactive approach to learning new skills.
